Chas Booth – delivers Green wins

I've been the Green councillor for Leith for 14 years. As a fuel poverty advocate and environmental campaigner before that, I understand that Green politics must deliver social as well as environmental justice. The climate and cost of living crises must be tackled as one.

This term I've:

- Been elected by colleagues to co-convene the Green group on the council, for two years running.
- Delivered the Leith Low Traffic Neighbourhood being made permanent, locking in safer streets and cleaner air.
- Brought a council motion exposing the short-term let loophole that allows operators to dodge planning consent.

Whether in opposition or administration, I've got the experience to get results and deliver Green wins for all our futures. A council group is only as effective as the councillors in it, and effectiveness comes from people who know the detail, do the hard graft, and stick with tough fights over years, not months.

I’m a campaigner, out on the streets with fellow candidates. Like Leith, I persevere.

I've spent 14 years standing up for Leith. Please give me the opportunity to continue to deliver.
