Callum Shipley (he/him)

Hello, I am Callum, originally from Nottingham but grew up in a town called Keith in the North of Scotland. I lived in Aberdeen for 6 years before recently moving to Edinburgh. Having Edinburgh now becoming my home, I want to play an active role in improving the community and making the residents have a strong green voice on the council.

I have been heavily involved in the Scottish Greens over the past few years including as the staff campaign organiser for the North East region and Moray during the Holyrood Campaign and the Aberdeen South Westminster by-election. I’ve got lots of experience campaigning in communities who have been failed by establishment politicians for decades, and I know that as your candidate for Corstorphine/Murrayfield I can be a strong voice for communities which have never before had a Green councillor.

Personally, I want to focus on connecting communities across our city with a public transport system which truly serves our community, improving bin and recycling services, and tackling the joint crises of the climate and cost-of-living in our capital. Through canvassing for the past months, I have learnt of the real struggles that residents are facing not just in Edinburgh, but in Scotland and believe that through my experience campaigning in communities and listening to residents, I can be a strong voice and help turn their concerns into action.

Please vote for me as your Scottish Greens candidate for Corstorphine/Murrayfield.
