Statement
I have lived in Bathgate since 1998, having worked in Livingston between 2003 and 2021. I joined the Scottish Greens in the wake of the Independance referendum in 2014, not really being an active member until the end of 2025 with the run up to the last Scottish Government Elections, having taken part in canvassing session in Linlithgow and Livingston as well as leafleting sessions in Linlithgow, also having leafleted in my own time in Bathgate. I was also a counting officer at the counts for Bathgate and Almond Valley in West Lothian College. I have always had public facing roles in my work, including working in Supermarkets and Call Centres, recently having worked as a tour guide in Edinburgh and as a Visitor Service Assistant at The Battle of Bannockburn experience. I am passionate about fighting for equality, especially disability and LGBTQI+ rights. I believe public transport in West Lothian needs to be improved, not just making it more affordable in the midst of a cost of living crises, but increased services and improving the links between buses and trains, especially in evenings and at the weekends.
