I've been the branch's Elections Agent for much of the last 15 years, and have experience of UK, Scottish and local elections. In this time I've successfully put dozens of candidates names on ballot papers, liaised with returning officers and electoral officials, and compiled and submitted numberous expenditure returns.

I was recently described by the regional returning officer in the 2026 Holyrood elections as a pleasure to work with and always the most organised of the election agents they deal with!

Having held the role since 2011 continuously apart from a three-year sabbatical, I am immediately qualified to continue. As well as having been through all the processes previously, I've developed effective relationships with electoral officials outside the party and the nominating officer within.

As a retired software engineer and systems administrator, I have an affinity for formal processes and a willingness to find the best ways to follow them. I relish improving the way organisations operate, and feel that holding the post continuously enables me to implement lessons learned with each iteration.
