Why would you like to be elected to the role(s) you are standing for?
I'd like to continue as co-convenor for a 2nd year. It's been a great experience and a change of pace from my previous roles. I'm still learning and certainly not overly comfortable in the role yet, so I would keep looking for ways I can better support the committee, elected reps, sub-branches and other volunteers. In the past year I've been multitasking a bit with content production but this year I'd like to do more to bring more folks in to help fill gaps and to focus on our monthly meetings to better meet the needs of members and hopefully get more folks in through the doors and getting involved. I think there is room for more compassion in the party and more broadly and this time round intend to make more headspace for that myself.
What skills, knowledge and life experience would you bring to the role(s) you are standing for?
Credit for our outstanding results in the Holyrood election is due to the campaign team, staff and local teams that made it all happen. It was amazing how smoothly the branch worked once we really got going, I feel on principles of subsidiarity and democracy as if by muscle memory. There were challenges at the start, and our experiences from the last year will help us with the 2026/7 campaign. The co-convenors have an important role in setting us up for success. I bring my experience of previously sitting on Council & Exec as the party clerk, my multicultural background and notorious attention to detail (which I try to keep in check!) As the party grows to address the polycrisis, I will listen to members and facilitate on that journey.
