Why would you like to be elected to the role(s) you are standing for?
I’m putting myself forward to be an Ordinary Member of Communications, Elections & Campaigns, or Local Teams/Member Support, if needed.
If there aren't enough candiates in any of the groups for a contested election, then I’m willing to help out.
Please DON’T vote for me. I don’t want to compete and get elected ahead of any other candidates. I hope we'll have more than enough people willing to fill all of the Ordinary Member roles in these groups, so I won't be needed to make up the numbers.
I will continue to volunteer whether or not I'm elected anyway.
What skills, knowledge and life experience would you bring to the role(s) you are standing for?
I’ve been active as a local member since 2014. My background is in IT, graphic design and printing.
I do a bit of volunteering on the communications side – I help maintain the Edinburgh Greens website and branch calendar, help with tech support for the branch email newsletter, run our Mastodon account, and I design leaflets and organise printing.
I’ve also been the membership secretary of my sub-branch (South East Edinburgh Greens) for several years, so I’m familiar with our membership and canvassing IT systems, and organising leaflet delivery runs. I’ve been involved in lots of election campaigns over the past decade, both locally and at a Branch level.
