Why would you like to be elected to the role(s) you are standing for?
I am new to the Green Party as a member, but have been a long time supporter and would like to get more involved so I think becoming an Ordinary Member would be a perfect way to do this. I'm very keen to promote the work and ideals of the Green Party as I feel much of the political landscape has become quite defeatist in seeing the future of politics as Labour or Reform and I don't agree that they are all we as a country should settle for and I want to promote the Greens as a solid option for future elections. I would also like to know more about how the Greens operate in Scotland and feel this role would be a great way to do this.
What skills, knowledge and life experience would you bring to the role(s) you are standing for?
I have long been a Green Party voter and I am trying to live my life more sustainably but it can at times feel challenging and disheartening and I think my honest difficulties with this will stand me in good stead to understand what voters are feeling and how to keep them motivated. I have been a qualified Social Worker for the past five years in both the statutory and the charitable sectors and feel I have a good understanding of the challenges that are facing most Scottish people right now and a feeling for how best to begin addressing these difficulties that would support me to assist the Green Party and there overarching aims as an Ordinary Member.
