Statement
Hi! I’m Tristan. Over the past two years, almost ever since joining the party, I've been the Edinburgh Green Party's policy officer and served on the Scottish Green Party policy committee.
During that time I've worked to support members developing policy for conference and developed conference policy myself, including:
New SGP Rewilding policy that passed with overwhelming support in Inverness last year.
Submission of new policy to conference this year to establish party policy on universal free education, curriculums inclusive of Scottish minority languages, Black, Asian, and minority ethnic (BAME) history and the TIE campaign's LGBT+ inclusive education platform, and supporting the provision of lifelong vocational education.
During my time on the committee, I've helped out in various other areas, from checking committee decisions against our standing orders to organising canvassing sessions ahead of last year's General Election.
I believe I'll be able to make a difference in supporting the co-conveners as a vice-convener and continue the committee's excellent work around the branch ahead of next year's vital Holyrood elections. If you agree, I'm asking for your vote to serve for a third year on our branch's committee.
