Committee Nomination: Becky Luff

I wish to stand for the Edinburgh Branch committee, with a first preference for the position of Treasurer.

I have been the Treasurer for the Edinburgh Branch the past three years. As well as undertaking the ongoing financial administration for the branch, I have worked with the Co-Conveners to introduce a branch budget, and with the Fundraising Officer to develop fundraising strategies for the branch and local teams. I have also contributed to dedicated election campaign boards, and am on the Scottish Green Party’s Capitations working group.

If elected for a further year I would work to support the campaign boards for Holyrood and Edinburgh Council elections - either from a financial perspective in the role of Treasurer, or in a more general role in another Committee position. If elected as Treasurer, I would also build on the work started this year focussed on developing strategies to strengthen the financial security of the branch.

Outside of my role with the Edinburgh Greens, my day job is working in the Finance team at The Stand Comedy Club and as a freelance Bookkeeper for Imaginate children's arts charity.
