Statement
I’m a young, queer, Asian NHS worker. I’m a cyclist, a trade unionist, a Living Rent member and co-convenor of Greens of Colour. Edinburgh is full of people like me, but the Council is not, and I want to change that.
From standing up to employers shortchanging NHS workers’ rest hours, to supporting union members fighting discrimination, I am not afraid to stand up to power. I will vote against landlords and for tenants, against big business and for the community, against car infrastructure and for buses and bikes.
From speaking at Leith’s anti-racist rally to winning the STUC Equality Award for advancing pharmacists’ LGBTQ+ education, I am committed to a diverse society, by supporting migrants, keeping 3rd spaces alive, and continuing to build sustainable communities.
As an NHS pharmacist, I bring skills critical to Council work: making and communicating complex decisions centring people; scrutinising and improving systems; working with teams with a range of skills, experience and ideals. My integrity and responsibility underpin my work.
I played a significant role in the 2026 Holyrood election as volunteer coordinator and a Leith member. I have switched to part time work to facilitate my candidacy.
I want to improve social care, tackle drug deaths (safe consumption room) and food poverty. I would love to serve the people of Leith Walk and Edinburgh so please vote for me!
