Statement
About me:
As a 24-year-old Latina migrant, queer, and disabled activist, my commitment to justice and inclusion is rooted in both lived experience and professional practice. I love my community deeply, and my work is centered on building accessible, equitable systems that ensure underrepresented voices shape institutional decisions.
I put these principles into practice through my work working with communities at the Anti Racism Observatory for Scotland and previously with Sight Scotland. In my free time I support projects such as the Latin American Community Association of Edinburgh (LACAE), the Mamie Martin Fund, the Edinburgh Refugee Sponsorship Circle, and had the privilege to lead Everyone’s Vote Matters Scotland.
Why I Am Standing:
Local government is where policy directly impacts our daily lives, safety, and well-being. I am standing for the Scottish Greens to deliver progressive, community-led representation. I want to focus on expanding public accessibility, protecting community spaces, advocating for migrant and refugee inclusion, and ensuring climate justice is built on true social equity.
Why I Would Make a Good Candidate:
Although my professional skills lay in stakeholder engagement, cross-sector collaboration, and campaign leadership. I believe my biggest input is the care and love I have for this community and its members, I would ensure to not listen but co-design with everyone for the best future for our city council.
