Why would you like to be elected to the role(s) you are standing for?
From a young age, I've always wanted things to be fair for everyone. People are tired of the same popular parties letting them down constantly. The Greens offer a solution. People need to know more about what our party is doing. If people were aware of what the Greens were fighting for we would have more supporters. I don't want to do nothing as people are being led astray by right wing parties that don't have their best interest at heart. The top 1% aren't being held accountable by our current government. Yet, this is something the Greens are passionate about. I want to help spread the Greens manifesto that embodies compassion, empathy and idealism. These traits are difficult to find in other parties but they are why I joined the Greens.
What skills, knowledge and life experience would you bring to the role(s) you are standing for?
I have been a younger carer for just over 10 years. My mum has MS and my dad has chronic fatigue. Therefore I am excellent at balancing multiple aspects of my life. I started working as a Customer Service Assistant at 16 so I have good communication skills when it comes to addressing different types of people. I organised my school's prom fashion show which raised over £2000 and did majority of the work whilst being a part of other commitments such as yearbook and my primary school volunteering. I am a Brownie Unit leader so I organise a lot of activities with the children and I answer questions from parents as well. I study Public and Social Policy at university so I'm interested in understanding what strategies work and which ones don't.
