Other ways to be involved with the branch committee
Representatives
The branch committee also has positions for different representatives, selected by the group they are representing:
Cllr representatives
As determined by the elected groups, Cllrs should be represented at branch committee meetings by two Cllrs.
Other representatives
The following groups are all invited to send a representative to monthly committee meetings:
- Young Greens
- Women’s Network
- Rainbow Greens
- Disabled Greens
- Elections and Campaigns Committee (national, when appropriate)
- Standing orders committee (national, when appropriate)
Speak to the relevant group if you would be interested in joining the committee as a rep group representative. You can read the role descriptions for these roles too. You do not need to submit a nomination for these positions, instead you should be put forward by the group you wish to represent. Contact the branch Co-Convenors if you would like support doing this - convenors.edin@scottishgreens.org.uk.
Local teams / sub-branch representatives
All local teams and sub-branches are invited to send a delegate to the Local Teams and Member Support Group. Invitations will be sent once the group is established in July.
