Hi everyone, thank you for reading my statement and considering me for a role in the Edinburgh Branch.

I've lived in Edinburgh for 5 years, been a member of the Greens for 3 years, 2 of which I've been the Convenor of Leith and Leith Walk Sub-branch.

After a string of successful elections results, our party has proven to be both a force to be reckoned with, a force with the power to positively impact the lives of so many of our fellow citizens. But this momentum cannot be squandered. Now is the time to activate even more members, reach out to more people and build an actual grass roots movement. This will require a lot of elbow grease, and this year I’ve decided to be more active in the branch to help out with that.

I’m brining a lot of experience to the table, in addition to being a convenor of LLW sub-branch I’ve also represent the branch on Edinburgh committee and more recently ran the successful council campaign for Susan Rae (or more precisely – done what Susan told me). On top of that I’ve worked in the financial sector for the last 11 years, which brings a lot of knowledge in organising and project work.

My first preference is the position of Events and Fundraising Officer, but happy to take whichever role needs filling in.
