I've been a member since 2010 and have held national or branch offices for almost all that time. After a couple of years sabbatical from the branch commitee, I'm inspired to return by the recent local authority campaign and my experience of being a local team organiser. Our near-miss in my ward this time round has fired me up!

I want to help maintain a community of local team organisers who can share lessons learned and maintain campaigning capacity in the period between elections. I'm interested in how we can engage more members to be active and retain their commitment, so that local team organisers are never left feeling unresourced and unsupported.

Working with candidates and ward organisers around the branch to produce Green News over the years has given me a strong sense of the different ways in which local teams operate. I think there's no "one size fits all" model for supporting them and an agile approach will find a productive balance between prescriptive and reactive assistance.
