Statement
During 2021 – 2022 I have developed this role - I have brought a proactive approach and want to see the WCO role use much more within the Branch in the coming years.
During the past year I have provided support with welfare and conduct issues both within Edinburgh Branch with individual members, between elected representatives within the Branch, and helped with local team support where needed and currently ongoing support around local teams/candidates after the Council 2022 elections. I have advised on issues within Scottish Greens and issues in local Branches across Scotland.
It is a role I feel excited to grow in for the benefit of our members and how we treat each other within the party. We need to work with respect, promote good metal health and make sure we resolve issues quickly and wherever possible informally as well.
I would relish the chance to continue this job for 2022 – 2023 with a new group of Councillors requiring support, helping to improve ways of working for the year ahead; whilst encouraging members to use the Welfare and Conduct role to support them within our brilliant Branch and the work we do on behalf of Edinburgh Greens.
Please re-elect me to this role which I greatly enjoy doing.
