Statement
My name is Alan Duggan and I am standing for Elections Agent. I am running for the Edinburgh branch to volunteer my time and assist the party as we head towards more elections in 2022.
I have been the Edinburgh branch election agent since September 2020. I have acted as the election agent for the Craigentinny/Duddingston by-election in November 2020 and the Scottish Parliament elections in May 2021. These experiences have provided me with a good working knowledge of the role and will be very valuable for the upcoming council elections in 2022. I have a meticulous nature when completing tasks in line with procedures and my career in research has provided me with experience in meeting tight deadlines. I believe my previous experience and thorough approach makes me a good candidate for this role.
I am also eager to learn and acquire new skills as a member of the branch committee. I'd be grateful for the opportunity to do so and to use those skills to help the party in future.
