Statement
I hope that you will support my nomination for the role of Election Campaign Coordinator for the Edinburgh Greens. I've lived in Edinburgh for more than 10 years now, and can see both the difference the Green Party can make, and the obstacles it faces in making that difference here.
My day-job is shaping and helping to deliver large scale programmes of work, and this is a skill I would love to bring to the Edinburgh Greens. As my children are now older and increasingly independent I have more time to spend actively supporting the Green Party, and at the same time worry more about the world I'm leaving them.
I think that, with the help of the wider Branch Committee and wider membership, I can make a difference in our upcoming campaigns. I'm not a naturally 'political' person, but I can't help seeing the damage our society is doing to the environment and the injustice it is inflicting on our people. I have spent 30 years helping businesses to set up projects; supporting teams as they develop their plans; and coordinating delivery activities to achieve success. I'd like to bring that skill to Edinburgh and hope it will make a difference.
