Statement
Hey, I'm Jule and I'd like to be Edinburgh Greens' next Membership Secretary! I'm organised, hard-working and believe I have the enthusiasm for grassroots organising and relevant experience needed to carry out the role:
- Having been part of two previous branch committees, most recently as Vice-Convenor, I'm already familiar with the workings of the Edinburgh branch.
- Additionally, I'm currently co-convenor of the Edinburgh Young Greens and one of the local organisers for the Forth/Inverleith local team, which has given me the opportunity to engage with and hear from many different members of our branch.
- As part of my role as Vice-Convenor, I got to sit on our Membership and Local Teams working group last year which has given me a good knowledge of our current membership strategy. I also helped to organise a well-received event for new members and those looking to become more involved.
- As a member of various representative groups who has heard a few people talk about how their gender, age, or nationality make them feel like they 'wouldn't fit in' at their local branches, I'm also interested in making our branch as welcome as possible!
Alternatively, I would also be happy to lend a helping hand wherever it is needed as an Ordinary Member.
