Statement
I joined the Green party in 2020 because I believe the Green party has a very positive and realistic message about how we can transform the economy and increase jobs while respecting the environment . I am disabled and I have been involved in two organisations advocating rights for people with a disability. I have also served as Equalities Officer and I am currently a member of my workplace union committee. As part of my union role, I deal with a wide range of both individual members' work issues and policy issues such as pay and terms and conditions. For the last 8 years, I have been involved in educational policy development for the health and social care sector and I have a particular focus on widening access to medicine, encouraging more medical students to consider a career in primary care and delivering provision in rural and remote Scotland.
