Statement
I have been a member of the Scottish Green Party since March 2019 and have volunteered during the Holyrood election and the Craigentinny/Duddingston by-election. I've loved my experiences of volunteering with the party so far and I'm really keen to get more involved in the branch and get to know everyone a bit better! I'm an English Literature graduate and an experienced researcher and I have ample experience of working collaboratively and building relationships with stakeholders.
Relevant experience:
I have worked as a health researcher for Alison Johnstone MSP since March 2019 and was heavily involved in the writing of the health chapter of the manifesto. I have also participated in policy days and have assisted with the drafting of the health section of the PRD.
I previously worked as a Committees Officer at a membership organisation so I also have experience of minute taking and agenda setting.
I served as a representative on staff wellbeing committees while in my Committees Officer role.
I believe that my varied experience will make me a useful and effective member of the branch committee. If elected to a committee position, I will be committed, organised and enthusiastic and will work really hard to support the work of the branch wherever possible.
