Statement
I’m keen to serve on Edinburgh Committee for the next year to help with the smooth running of Branch having experience of being an ordinary member, and job shared as Elections officer and served as Chair of the 2019 General Election Campaign Board.
I am keen to serve in order of preference as
Welfare and Conduct Officer.
Accessibility, Inclusion and Wellbeing Officer.
Ordinary Member.
The Welfare and Conduct Office appeals as I have worked with members across branch in the elections role, and am personally keen to see members treated fairly, that we look after metal health and physical wellbeing especially after elections and campaigns.
Recent events have convinced me we can do better at our members welfare as a branch through various means such communication and information sharing alongside handling disputes to be fair to all in line with our national conduct and complaints procedures.
I wish to do this role to ensure we support all our members in openness, fairness and and treating any complaints/grievance with understanding and compassion.
I hope the above information will enable you to see what a good fit for the role I would be and to vote for me to carry this out. So please vote Andrew Brough for the role of Welfare and Conduct officer.
