Submitting your nomination
Complete your nomination form here | The deadline for submitting nominations is Sunday 1 June.
To submit your nomination, you will need to provide a photo, statement (max 1500 characters) and a ranked list of the roles you wish to stand for. Here are some tips to help you to fill out the nomination form.
Selecting the roles you wish to stand for:
- We encourage candidates to run for more than one role in the election. You do not need to submit multiple nominations for each role - all are included in one form.
- You are welcome to use the nomination questions to talk about your preferred role (ranked #1), or just explain why you'd be good for committee more generally.
- We will elect people to one role only, but if vacancies remain at the AGM, we will consider nominations from people who wish to fill a vacant ordinary member role, in addition to the role they were elected to.
Providing your proposer and supporters:
- Where the form asks for the proposer you should put your own name, gender, email and phone number - you are the person proposing your own nomination
- You also require 2 supporters from the branch to support your nomination (please leave the third box blank)
- If you are new to the party and would like help finding individuals to nominate you, contact the co-convenors on convenors.edin@scottishgreens.org.uk - we have a bank of friendly members who would be happy to help!
