Why would you like to be elected to the role(s) you are standing for?
I grew up in the southside of Edinburgh, and after moving away for a little over a decade - living in St Andrews, Glasgow, London, France, Switzerland, Jordan and Palestine - I returned home last year. I studied international relations, with a master's in journalism, and have worked in the media and for several human rights charities in communications and campaigning roles. I'm looking forward to getting more involved in the branch in the run up to the 2026 elections as it's becoming increasingly important to bring radical left voices who will fight for social and climate justice to Holyrood. I'm putting myself forward for committee to take on this active role and to play a part in electing a record number of Greens to parliament.
What skills, knowledge and life experience would you bring to the role(s) you are standing for?
From my time working in the media and for charities, I have developed wide ranging skills in campaigning and communications, and I'm keen to apply these skills to support the branch. While living in Glasgow, I was active in campaigning in the 2021 election, and I'm eager to build on this by playing an active committee role for 2026. I'm proactive, collaborative and a good team player, and I believe my friendly, positive attitude will help strengthen the committee as we enter an exciting, but also full on and challenging year. I'm keen to learn from more experienced members, but I'm also enthusiastic to get stuck in. I believe my professional experience combined with my positive attitude makes me a strong candidate for this year's committee.
