Why would you like to be elected to the role(s) you are standing for?
I am running for branch co-convener because I am deeply passionate about all things Green, I have greatly enjoyed befriending and working with my fellow members in Edinburgh, and I want to put my energy towards building up our amazing branch in the crucial year ahead of us.
Our party's grassroots democracy is our biggest strength. As co-convener, I will work with the committee to strengthen the autonomy of party branches, and ensure Edinburgh branch members are actively engaged in decision-making. With two election years coming up, building up our grassroots community of Greens is key to not only electing more councillors and MSPs, but remaining true to our values and continuing to grow and prosper in the years ahead.
What skills, knowledge and life experience would you bring to the role(s) you are standing for?
I've been an active branch member since the 2022 local elections. I've been on the committee for two years, in the campaigns group and the events and engagement group. I am the membership secretary in North Edinburgh and Leith sub-branch. I helped establish and co-convened the party's Palestine Solidarity Group.
Having held many roles and campaigned in several elections, I have a good understanding of party structures and processes. I have collaborated with many Edinburgh branch members and I am excited to continue working together for people and planet.
I also co-founded and help run the Workers' Observatory in Edinburgh, where I gained skills in grassroots organising, administration, and working with political institutions.
