Committee Nomination: Breck MacGregor
Statement
I've been a member since early 2014, and have been active in election campaigns since then. I'd now like to be involved with the upcoming campaigns on the Edinburgh committee. My preference is for the role of ordinary member, as I'd be new on the committee.
I have a degree with a statistical element from the University of St Andrews. Previously I volunteered for the Green group of councillors on the successful campaign to establish public rights of way across the Astley Ainslie Hospital site. I've been on the committee of a sports club for several years as membership secretary.
Particular interests of mine are how people's understanding of voting systems affects their voting intentions, whether the pandemic and events like school climate strikes make certain demographics more receptive to voting Green - and how analysis of these factors can inform strategy.
I'd be happy to help out as needed, and willing to support various aspects of the committee's work.
