Committee Nomination: Alan Duggan

My name is Alan Duggan and I am standing for Elections Agent (or Shadow Agent). I am running for the Edinburgh branch to volunteer my time and assist the party as we head towards elections in 2021 and 2022.

I have previously worked as a researcher with a focus on Scottish elections and campaign spending. As a result, I have quite a bit of prior knowledge of existing regulations surrounding candidate nomination and candidate spending limits. I have a meticulous nature when completing tasks in line with procedures and my career in research has provided me with experience in meeting tight deadlines. I believe my previous experience and thorough approach makes me a good candidate for this role.

I am also eager to learn and acquire new skills as a member of the branch committee. I'd be grateful for the opportunity to do so and to use those skills to help the party in future.
